Workshop: Introduction to Crochet - Level II
Who is this workshop for?

The target audience is someone with some crochet experience, but not a lot. A pre-requisite is the Introduction to Crochet - Level I workshop, or equivalent experience (familiarity with Chain, Single Crochet, Double Crochet).

How long is the workshop?

This is an 2 hour workshop.

What will you learn?

In this hand-on workshop, you will be introduced to more crochet techniques. The concepts that will be presented are:

  • Pattern Reading
  • Gauge
  • Increases and decreases
  • Longer stitches, shells and clusters
  • Finishing a project; seaming

What do you need to bring?

Bring a ball of worsted weight yarn in a light, bright colour and smooth in texture, as well as a a pair of 4 mm or 4.5 mm crochet needles, 10" long. These may be purchased at stores such as Michael's, Zellers, WalMart, or specialty crochet/crocheting shops.

It would also be beneficial to purchase a needle and stitch gauge, a yarn needle, and point protectors.

If you are unable to get these supplies, do not worry - you may use the school's supplies.

What does it cost?

The cost of this seminar is $25.00.

But if you register at the same time for the Introduction to Crochet - Level I workshop, you can get both for $45.00, a savings of 10%.
